Dorma D860 Cylinder x Turn:
Dead bolt operated by key outside or by turn inside. Bolt automatically deadlocks when fully thrown. Providing increased security, reliability, and durability.
DORMA offers a choice of rugged dead bolts to provide an added level of protection. The D800 Series are Grade 1 dead bolts available in both 2-3/8" and 2-3/4" (standard) backsets. The large dead bolt is made from stainless steel for strength and corrosion resistance. A HeavyDuty brass cylinder in a hardened steel housing surrounded by a heavy steel spin ring complete the security package in the door. This is coupled with a solid steel strike for use in a hollow metal frame and an additional reinforcing plate with 3" screws for wood jamb installations. When operated manually, the ED900 demands little physical effort. Advanced power assist through the entire opening cycle makes even the heaviest-rated door feel light.

The operator is especially helpful for children, the elderly, persons with disabilities, or those carrying objects or pushing carts. This fully ADA-compliant device opens doors at precisely controlled speeds and forces, assuring safety for all users.

 

Advanced features

 

The ED900 also includes a blow-open feature for smoke ventilation (per NFPA code 92B), permanent hold-open, and an onboard power supply delivering 1.5 amps @ 24-volt DC, which eliminates the need for a secondary power supply. It includes twelve programmable options to accommodate even the most challenging door installations.
