HES 9400 Series Surface-Mounted Electric Strike for Rim Exit Devices

The HES 9400 Series is a slim-line, surface-mounted electric strike designed for rim exit devices equipped with a Pullman latchbolt measuring up to 1/2-inch throw.

Its components are enclosed within a slim stainless steel housing that mounts directly to the surface of the frame. No frame cutting is required. Simply position the electric strike on the frame, align it with the exit-device latchbolt and complete the installation.

The HES 9400 includes a 1/8-inch spacer plate to accommodate different door gaps. Its smooth decorative cover conceals the mounting screws for a clean, finished appearance. Horizontal adjustability helps provide proper alignment between the strike and exit-device latchbolt.

The strike is non-handed and can be installed on applicable metal or wood frames. Field-selectable 12 or 24 VDC operation and field-selectable fail-safe or fail-secure operation provide flexibility for different access-control applications.

Engineered for demanding commercial openings, the HES 9400 exceeds ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 standards for strength and performance. It provides 1,500 lb static strength, 70 ft-lb dynamic strength and testing to 1,000,000 operating cycles.

Important: The HES 9400 Series is not fire rated or windstorm rated.
