MODEL H28 | CENTER HUNG, SINGLE ACTING FLOOR CLOSER

The Norton Rixson H28 Series is a single-acting, center-hung floor closer for extra-heavy, high-traffic interior or exterior doors weighing up to 1000 lbs.

PRODUCT FEATURES

  • H28 floor closer, non-hold open
  • Certain models meet ANSI A117.1 (PH prefix)

  • Available non-hold open (N) or selective hold open (S) at the same degree as dead stop
  • Built-in positive dead stop prevents doors from swinging beyond the desired opening degree; specify 85°, 90°, 95°, or 105°
  • For high traffic or extra heavy doors (2" min. thickness)
  • 587 is a special side load arm for 1-3/4" thick doors; this arm allows the pivot point to be moved away from the pivot edge of the door - minimum 2-3/4" backset
  • Separate and independent valves for closing speed, latch speed, and backcheck
  • Cast iron cement case
  • Not allowed for fire-rated doors
  • Frame stop required on the header at lock side; if not supplied by the frame manufacturer, Norton Rixson 60131 recommended
  • Available with floor plate or threshold installation
  • Furnished with wood and machine screws
  • Door sizes up to 4'0" x 8'6" (1219 x 2591mm)
  • The door weighs up to 1000 lbs.
