MODEL EH28 | CENTER HUNG, SINGLE ACTING FLOOR CLOSER

The Norton Rixson EH28 Series is a single-acting, center-hung floor closer designed for power transfer from the frame to the door through the closer spindle for interior or exterior doors weighing up to 500lbs.

PRODUCT FEATURES

  • H340 top pivot included
  • Available non-hold open (N) or selective hold open (S) at the same degree as dead stop
  • Built-in positive dead stop prevents doors from swinging beyond the desired opening degree; specify 85°, 90°, 95°, or 105°
  • Provides power transfer through closer spindle; low voltage, class II wiring (2 wire, 18 gauge only)
  • Separate and independent valves for closing speed, latch speed, and backcheck
  • Cast iron cement case
  • Not allowed for fire-rated doors
  • Frame stop required on the header at lock side; if not supplied by the frame manufacturer, Norton Rixson 60131 recommended
  • 2" minimum door thickness
  • 587 is a special side load arm for 1-3/4” thick doors; this arm allows the pivot point to be moved away from the pivot edge of the door - minimum 2-3/4” backset
  • Available with floor plate or threshold installation
  • Furnished with wood and machine screws
  • Door sizes up to 4'0" x 8'6" (1219 x 2591mm)
