Function:
For installation where the long-throw MS® Deadlock cannot be accommodated, the smaller 4070 deadbolt offers the longest practical throw for a conventionally projected bolt from a narrow stile. Operates with one-half key turn of any standard mortise type cylinder or cylinder type thumbturn. This product is not designed for use in bottom rail.
Operation:
180° turn of key or thumbturn projects or retracts the bolt. Lock accepts any standard1" [25.4 mm] length, 1-5/32" [29.4 mm] diameter mortise cylinder or thumbturn with special cam dimensions. Lock accepts cylinder from either or both sides.
Features:
Cylinder Backset: 7/8" [22.2 mm], 31/32" [24.6 mm], or 1-1/8" [28.6 mm] only.
Case: Measures 1" x 6" x depth [25.4 mm x 152.4 mm x depth], depth varies by backset. Steel with corrosion-resistant plating.
Bolt: 5/8" x 1-1/4" x 5/8" [15.9 mm x 31.8 mm x 15.9 mm] throw.
Strike: In metal installations, a slot in door jamb serves as strike. 4170 Trim Strike is available separately for wood installations.
Faceplate: Measures 1" x 5-9/16" [25.4 mm x 141.3 mm].
Special Cylinder Cam: Operable by any standard mortise cylinder with special cam dimensions. Cylinders with such cams can be readily obtained from most cylinder manufacturers. See CYLINDERS & ACCESSORIES section for cylinder make, thumbturn and trim ring information.
Standard Package: Individually boxed with machine screws for mounting. Cylinder and/or thumbturn available separately.
