The dormakaba Simplex L1011 Mechanical Pushbutton Lock provides reliable keyless access control without batteries, electrical wiring, credentials or network connectivity. Users enter the programmed combination on the exterior metal pushbutton keypad and operate the lever to gain entry. From the interior, the lever always permits free egress.
The L1011 is the combination-entry-only model in the Simplex L1000 Series. It does not include a key override, passage feature or privacy function. This straightforward configuration makes it an excellent choice for storerooms, employee entrances, offices, mechanical rooms, utility areas and other controlled commercial openings where authorized users can share one access code.
Because the Simplex L1011 is completely mechanical, there are no batteries to monitor or replace and no electronic components, software subscriptions or programming equipment to maintain. The single access combination can be changed from the interior side of the lock without removing the lock from the door.
The lock’s heavy-duty cylindrical construction includes a cast exterior housing, unified trim plate, vandal-resistant solid-metal pushbuttons and fixed ADA-compliant lever handles. It installs on properly prepared wood or hollow metal doors using an ANSI/ASA 161 cylindrical lock preparation with additional through-bolt holes.
The L1011 accepts combinations using up to five buttons, which may be pressed individually or simultaneously, providing thousands of possible combinations. Because it stores only one combination, all authorized users share the same code. It does not provide multiple user codes, audit trails, remote management or scheduled access.
