SDC 7500 Series HiTower® Solenoid Frame Actuator Controlled Mortise Locks

SDC’s HiTower® 7500 Series Solenoid Frame Actuator Controlled Mortise Locks provide a proven electrified locking solution for commercial, institutional, and high-traffic applications where dependable access control, fire-life-safety compliance, and clean installation are essential. Building on SDC’s original patented frame-actuator technology, the 7500 Series controls a modified mechanical mortise lock using an electric actuator mounted in the door frame.

Because the electrical components and wiring are contained entirely within the door frame, HiTower® locks eliminate the need for electric hinges and wiring through the door. This simplifies installation, reduces components and labor, and helps maintain the fire rating of fire-rated doors without requiring the door to be factory-prepped for electrical wiring.

HiTower® 7500 Series locks are designed for fire-rated office doors, corridor doors, lobby doors, exit doors, and stairwell doors. The heavy-duty mortise lock design provides reliable mechanical locking, while the solenoid frame actuator delivers hardwired access control without exposed electrical connections in the door.

Key Benefits

  • Frame-Mounted Electrical Control: Keeps all wiring and electrical components in the door frame, eliminating the need for an electric hinge.
  • No Wires in the Door: Simplifies installation and eliminates wiring-related components inside the door.
  • Fire & Life Safety Compatible: Designed for applications involving fire-rated office, corridor, lobby, exit, and stairwell doors.
  • New or Retrofit Construction: Suitable for new installations as well as replacement and retrofit applications.
  • Heavy-Duty Mortise Lock: Built for commercial and institutional applications requiring durable mechanical locking.
  • Vandal-Resistant Clutch: Helps protect the lock from abusive operation.
  • Adjustable Door Gap Compensation: Accommodates variations in door-to-frame clearance for reliable operation.
  • Schlage Trim Compatible: Supports compatibility with Schlage-style trim applications.
