Access Control & Electrified Operation

The S5000 Series features factory-installed motorized electric latch retraction, eliminating the need for separate field-installed electrification components. When power is applied, the motor retracts the exit device latch to allow authorized access through the door.

S5000 devices can also be powered by an SDC AUTO Series low-energy door operator with an integrated 1 Amp+ power supply, making them well suited for accessible and automated entrance applications.

Optional Request-to-Exit (REX) and Latch Status (LS) monitoring provide additional integration capabilities for access control and security systems.

Nightlatch & Key Override

Nightlatch functionality is available through the use of a rim key cylinder on medium- and wide-stile doors. This provides a mechanical key override option for applications where key access is desired in the event of power loss.

For applications that do not require nightlatch functionality or key override, exit-only S5000 configurations can be used on narrow-stile doors.
