SDC PD2090 Series Panic Device Top Latch Release Electric Bolt Locks
The SDC PD2090 Series PanicLok™ Panic Device Electric Bolt Locks provide reliable electronic access control for narrow stile glass doors equipped with Dor-O-Matic or Kawneer concealed vertical rod exit devices. Designed as concealed top latch release devices, the PD2090 series allows authorized entry from the exterior while maintaining unrestricted exit through the existing panic device.
The PD2090 is suitable for single doors and pairs of center-hung or offset doors with a minimum 1/8-inch reveal. The electric bolt lock controls exterior access only, allowing the exit device to remain fully operational from the inside for safe, uninhibited egress.
Automatic Relock for Reliable Security
An integrated automatic relock ball switch keeps the bolt retracted while the door is open. When the door closes, it depresses the ball switch, causing the stainless steel bolt to automatically project and secure the door. The ball switch is field adjustable to compensate for wider door gaps, helping ensure dependable relocking in varying installation conditions.
Failsecure Operation
The PD2090A features failsecure operation. When energized, the bolt retracts and the exterior side of the door is unlocked for authorized access. When power is removed, the bolt projects and the exterior remains locked while the panic device continues to provide free egress from the inside.
For electrical unlocking during a power failure, the installation requires a power supply with battery backup capability.
