The SDC GateLok™ GL Series Electric Gate Locks provide reliable electric locking and remote access control for manual or automatic sliding and swinging gates. Designed for commercial, industrial, institutional, and perimeter security applications, these heavy-duty gate locks are ideal for chain link, tubular steel, and wrought iron gates.
GL Series locks provide a higher-security alternative to electromagnetic gate locks by using a stainless steel locking bolt and heavy-gauge, weatherized steel housing. The integrated automatic relock function keeps the bolt retracted until the gate reaches the closed position, helping ensure reliable automatic locking and secure gate operation.
Designed around a typical 3" fence post and 2" gate post, the GL Series can also be adapted for smaller gate and post sizes. Field-reversible handing and selectable dual-voltage operation make installation flexible for a variety of access-control systems.

Keyswitch & Mechanical Release Options
The GL163AI and GL263AH models include a built-in keyswitch for local unlocking in addition to access-control operation.
The GL260MRAH features a built-in mechanical release mortise cylinder for momentary manual override. The mechanical release does not maintain a sustained unlocked condition and will retract the bolt even when DC power is unavailable.
Optional Monitoring
For applications requiring gate status monitoring, the GL Series can be equipped with:
- DPS – Door/Gate Position Status
- BPS – Bolt Position Status
These monitoring options allow the access-control system to verify whether the gate is properly closed and/or whether the locking bolt is extended.
