The 1561S is surface mounted on the push side of an outswing door, making it an excellent choice for commercial-grade hollow metal and wood doors with metal frames, as well as Herculite doors with top rails.
Advanced HiShear® Locking Technology
The patented HiShear® design incorporates a floating armature assembly and specially engineered alloy steel locking tabs in both the lock and armature assemblies. The locking tabs can be adjusted vertically and laterally, helping compensate for wide door gaps, warped doors, and minor door misalignment.
Advanced electronic circuitry includes a door alignment relock sensor that helps ensure the lock properly engages when the door is correctly aligned. Automatic dual-voltage sensing simplifies installation by allowing the lock to accommodate either 12 or 24 VDC power without requiring manual voltage selection.
