The SDC 1511T Series ExitCheck® Tandem Integrated Delayed Egress Locks provide an advanced delayed egress solution for double-door and pair-of-door applications where controlled egress, security, and life safety are critical. Combining electromagnetic locking with integrated delayed egress electronics, audible/visual occupant notification, and flexible programming, the 1511T helps prevent unauthorized egress while providing immediate emergency release.
Designed to provide a selectable 15- or 30-second egress delay, the 1511T uses a large digital countdown display, door release indicator, alternating verbal message, verbal countdown, and alarm tone to clearly communicate the exit condition. These features help ensure that occupants understand the door operation even without prior knowledge, including individuals who are blind or hearing impaired.
The tandem configuration is specifically designed for pairs of doors. A slave lock output allows two 1511T units to work together so that pushing either door leaf causes both doors to release, providing coordinated delayed egress operation across the entire opening.
The SDC 1511T is compatible with access-control systems, patient wandering systems, and patient or infant tracking applications. Field-selectable operating modes provide flexibility for local code requirements while supporting national and regional fire and life-safety requirements, including NFPA 101 Special Locking Arrangements.
