The dormakaba Simplex 1011 is a heavy-duty mechanical pushbutton lock that provides keyless combination entry from the exterior and free egress from the interior. This knob-operated commercial lock requires no batteries, wiring, keys, cards or software. The 1011 features weather-resistant construction and a 3-hour UL/ULC fire-rated cylindrical latch for compatible “A”-labeled doors.
Full Product Description
The dormakaba Simplex 1011 Mechanical Pushbutton Lock provides dependable, keyless access control without batteries, electrical wiring, software, credentials or network connectivity. To enter, an authorized user presses the correct combination and turns the exterior knob to retract the latch. From the interior, the knob provides free egress without entering a code.
The 1011 is the combination-entry-only model in the knob-operated Simplex 1000 Series. It does not include a mechanical key override, passage feature or lockout function. Its straightforward design is ideal for employee entrances, storerooms, utility rooms, laboratories, institutional facilities and other controlled openings where authorized users can share one access combination.
Because the Simplex 1011 is completely mechanical, there are no batteries to replace, wires to install or electronic components to maintain. It operates independently of power failures, Wi-Fi networks, computers and access-control software.
The lock accepts a combination using one to five buttons. Buttons may be pressed individually or two or more may be pressed simultaneously, providing thousands of possible combinations. The combination can be changed from the interior side using the furnished combination-change control key without removing the lock from the door.
Heavy-duty construction includes an all-metal cylindrical lock housing, molded exterior cover, brass adjustment plate, die-cast zinc knobs and vandal-resistant solid-metal pushbuttons. The lock installs on properly prepared wood or metal doors and can accommodate door thicknesses from 1-3/8" through 2-1/4".
The cylindrical latch carries a 3-hour UL/ULC fire rating for “A”-labeled doors, and the lock is weather resistant for indoor or appropriate outdoor applications. Unlike the lever-operated L1011, the knob-operated Simplex 1011 is factory configured for left-hand doors but can be reversed in the field. Manufacturer specifications
