Product Description
The Locinox VENUS is a plug-and-play motorized gate closer designed for pedestrian swing gates weighing up to 440 lb and measuring up to 5 feet wide. When connected to an access-control system, it can also operate as a low-energy automatic gate opener.
Its brushless, reversible motor provides up to 150 Nm of torque and remains backdrivable for manual gate operation. Automated obstacle detection reverses the gate after detecting an obstruction, while speed, force, final action and other operating settings can be configured through the Locinox mobile app.
Three arm configurations allow VENUS to accommodate different post, hinge and clearance conditions. The operator incorporates its power supply, control board, input/output connections and warning light inside a compact, vandal-resistant housing. Because the motor is reversible, Locinox requires the system to be combined with a compatible lock.

Important Installation Requirements
- A compatible mechanical or electric gate lock is required because VENUS uses a reversible motor.
- Permanent electrical connections must be completed by a qualified electrician.
