Design
The Smart Reader is a sleekly designed, discreet unit. It works with virtually any electrified locking device up to 2 amps, auto senses 12VDC or 24VDC. And at just 4.5” by 1.75”, it won’t clutter your doorways.
Door compatibility
The Smart Reader can trigger locks on virtually any door that has a maglock or door strike—even turnstiles and roll-up doors (these may require additional power).
Durability
The Centrios Smart Reader will operate in temperatures as low as -40˚ F or as high as 122˚ F
Installation
The smart reader is easy to install on a door frame, wall mount, or junction box—in fact, pretty much anywhere you can install two screws and a backplate

Does the smart reader require a power supply or batteries?
The smart reader does require constant voltage of 12-24 VDC.
Does Centrios require certification to install or use?
No, anyone can purchase this through us.
Can the smart reader read my existing physical credentials?
The smart reader is only able to read the Centrios mobile credential today. Once our PRO plan is launched you will have the ability to purchase our physical credentials.
Can I issue PIN codes for access?
Yes, custom and pre-generated PIN codes are available.
What electromechanical devices can I use with the smart reader?
The smart reader has 2 onboard relays that will handle up to 30VDC/2A devices.
Can I use the smart reader for other devices other than for doors?
Yes, there are an unlimited number of use cases where the smart reader can be used. Some examples would be roll-up doors, turning on and off lights, and operating gates or turnstiles.
